Meet The Found-hers
Shishira Bhowmik
The Gut Odos was founded by Shishira Bhowmik, a clinical researcher trained at Imperial College London, where she worked on in vitro digestion models — advanced laboratory systems that recreate a fully functional human gut outside the body.
This work offered her a rare, system-level understanding of how the gut digests, absorbs, and communicates — and how gut signalling quietly shapes stress response, hormonal balance, immunity, and recovery.
Shishira’s perspective on health is shaped as much by science as by life: walking through her grandparents’ farms in Kerala, growing up in the pace of Delhi, and later conducting research in world-class laboratories in London.
At the heart of her work is a simple belief:
the body is intelligent — and health works best when it is supported, not overridden.
Nimisha Bhowmik
Nimisha Bhowmik is the Co-Founder of The Gut Odos and the grounding force behind its values, care ethos, and long-term vision.
She brings lived wisdom shaped by discipline, consistency, and an intuitive understanding of nourishment — ensuring the brand remains rooted, responsible, and human at every stage of growth.
Deeply familiar with the principles of nature and Ayurveda, Nimisha carries forward knowledge shaped through family practice and everyday life. She understands why traditional healing systems endured for centuries — not through intensity, but through rhythm, restraint, and continuity.
Where Shishira brings scientific precision, Nimisha brings balance.
She is the quiet anchor — and the strongest critique.
Together
The Gut Odos is built at the meeting point of science and care.
Vision and grounding.
Precision and restraint.
Modern research and timeless understanding.
This balance shapes everything the brand creates — from formulation to philosophy.
Our Vision
To redefine how modern nutraceuticals are designed.
We envision a future where wellness products are not overstimulating, dependency-driven, or trend-led — but intentional, gut-targeted, and respectful of the body’s intelligence.
Where care is measured by consistency, not intensity.
Where trust is built through restraint, not excess.
And where health is designed from the centre, outward.
